Looking at Jesus to See the Heart of the Father

Looking at Jesus to See the Heart of the Father
A Gentle Invitation
Can we take a moment to stop and ask ourselves—
What do I really believe about God?
Growing up, I was never good at sports. In P.E. class, the teacher would pick the two best athletes as team captains and let them alternate choosing players. I vividly recall standing in that line, shiftily waiting to be chosen. Most often, I was picked dead last—though occasionally second to last.
Without realizing it, that experience planted a seed of "less than" deep in my mind. For years, it made it easy for me to believe that good things were meant for other people, but hard to believe they were truly meant for me. I could grasp God's love mentally, see it in Scripture, and even declare it out loud—yet that lingering root of unworthiness remained.
For many of us, our picture of God has been shaped by painful memories, church experiences, unanswered prayers, or beliefs we’ve carried for decades. Some of those things give us a beautiful picture of Him, but others desperately need re-examining.
So where do we begin replacing those roots? Look at Jesus.
When Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father, Jesus didn’t give him a theological lecture. He pointed directly to Himself:
“Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” — John 14:9
Jesus is the exact representation of God's nature. He didn’t simply tell us what God is like—He showed us through every action:
  • He welcomed the overlooked and picked the ones chosen last.
  • He touched the untouchable.
  • He forgave, restored, and healed.
  • He listened, wept, and showed deep compassion.
If Jesus reveals the Father, then Jesus completely rewrites the story of how God sees us.
We often make seeking God harder than it needs to be. We strive—reading more, doing more, trying harder—hoping we’ll somehow become "good enough" to be picked. But knowing the Father doesn't require striving.
Look at Jesus. Not at what your fear, shame, or past disappointment tells you about God—look at Jesus.
Today, take a breath. You don't have to figure everything out or earn your spot on His team. Simply ask:
“Father, what do You want me to see about You when I look at Jesus?”
Then be still long enough to listen.

Pause & Reflect
  • Read John 14:9 slowly. Then explore Colossians 1:15, Hebrews 1:3, John 1:18, and 2 Corinthians 4:6.
  • Read Psalm 139 and Psalm 145 (The Passion Translation is beautiful)
  • Read the gospel of John and really look at how Jesus lived and how he revealed the Father.
  • What do these Scriptures reveal about Jesus and the Father? Write down what you notice—not what you think you’re supposed to notice.
Perhaps knowing your Heavenly Father begins with simply getting to know Jesus.

The Three Books That Completely Changed How I View God, Money, and Provision

The Three Books That Completely Changed How I View God, Money, and Provision

It started out as a desire to earn more money and quit my job...

I took a huge financial leap and hired a coach, hoping this would be the missing piece—the guidance I needed to finally earn an income on my own terms instead of relying on my corporate job. I wanted to make a difference, not just be a cog in the wheel. I wanted to have more control over my time and freedom to be present for my kids and grandkids.
During one of our weekly group coaching sessions, this coach mentioned the book "How Heaven Invades Your Finances." I have a bit of a "book thing"—I tend to buy every book that's recommended to me. At this point, it will probably take about 170 years to read everything I've accumulated! So the book sat on my shelf until one day I found myself staring at the wall of books in my office, trying to decide what to read next. That's when it grabbed my attention.
I expected it to be similar to other Christian finance books I'd read over the years—books that always left me feeling like I wasn't quite good enough to qualify for God's blessing. But this one was different. I devoured it, hungry for the truths inside, highlighting as I went. The life-changing perspective fascinated me, and hope and faith began bubbling up in my innermost being as I read it again and again.
Since reading "How Heaven Invades Your Finances," I've been on a beautiful journey, learning who God really is, who He's made me to be, and how deeply He longs to partner with me for impact!
My relationship with my Heavenly Father has transformed completely.
When I began to see Him as a loving Provider who wants to partner with me—rather than someone I needed to impress or earn favor from—everything started to change. He began revealing His heart for me, His love for me, and His desire to use me to touch lives and have an impact!
These three books aren't just recommendations on a list—they've been meaningful markers in this journey for me. Each one has helped reshape how I see God, provision, and money, and because of that, I know I'll never see any of it the same way again. I have been forever changed.
Why it stood out to me: This book challenged me in all the best ways. Instead of focusing on formulas, checklists, or "do these five things and God will bless you" strategies, it points us straight to the heart of the Kingdom—and to the God who is our source.
What it reveals: Jim Baker dismantles the idea that provision comes from striving, hustling, or performing well enough to earn God's favor. Instead, he reveals a Father who delights in partnering with His children, a Father who actually enjoys providing, guiding, and empowering us.
Why it feels different: What makes this book so powerful is how practical and deeply spiritual it is at the same time. It reframes money, abundance, generosity, and stewardship through a lens of identity and relationship.
What you'll walk away with:
  • How to recognize God's voice in your finances
  • How to align with Kingdom principles
  • How to step out of fear-based thinking into a life marked by trust, partnership, and supernatural provision
How it impacted me personally: Reading it didn't just give me new information—it shifted something in me. It helped me begin seeing provision as something that flows naturally from walking with God, not something I have to chase or earn. It awakened hope, faith, and a sense of possibility I hadn't felt in years.
If this sounds like you...
If you've ever felt stuck, stressed, or small in the area of finances—if you've ever wondered whether God actually cares about your money, your dreams, or your desire to make an impact—this book will speak to you.
It's one of those rare reads that doesn't just teach—it transforms. I genuinely want everyone who lands on this blog to read it. It changed my life, and I believe it can change yours too.
Why it matters: This beautiful book explores what it truly means when Psalm 23 declares, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Willard invites us into a way of living where fear, anxiety, and scarcity no longer get the final say.
What it reveals: Instead of treating that verse as a comforting slogan, he shows what it looks like to actually experience it—to live from a settled confidence in God's goodness and care.
What I love about it: It gently shifts your perspective. It's not primarily about money; it's about learning to rest in the reality that your Shepherd is enough.
What makes it so grounding: Willard unpacks how God's presence, guidance, and provision create a life marked by peace rather than pressure, trust rather than striving. It's a reminder that abundance isn't measured by what we accumulate, but by the security we find in God's love.
How it impacted me personally:
This book helped me slow down, breathe, and remember that I am cared for. It's a tender, grounding read—one that quietly reshapes how you see God, yourself, and the world around you.
What it teaches: Andrew Wommack reminds us that everything we have ultimately belongs to God, and stewardship is simply learning to faithfully manage what He's entrusted to us. Instead of approaching money with fear, guilt, or pressure, he helps you see finances through the lens of God's generosity and partnership.
Why it's so freeing: Wommack teaches that stewardship isn't about restriction—it's about alignment. When we understand God as a generous Father who delights in resourcing His children, managing our finances becomes an act of trust rather than stress.
The practical takeaway: The book offers clear, biblical principles for handling money wisely, giving intentionally, and living with a mindset that reflects God's abundance rather than scarcity.
How it impacted me personally:
This book helped reinforce that my role isn't to carry everything alone, but to walk with Him as a faithful steward of all He's placed in my hands. It's straightforward, encouraging, and deeply rooted in the truth that God doesn't just provide—He invites us into a relationship where we get to participate in what He's doing.
Key takeaway:
Together, these books have helped renew my thinking in ways I didn't expect. They've shifted my focus from worrying about "being good enough" and "having enough" to learning to trust my Heavenly Father, who IS more than enough, HAS more than enough, and has made me to be more than enough.
If you're longing for greater peace, freedom from financial fear, or simply a deeper understanding of God's heart as your Provider, I can't recommend these books enough.

It's been helping me connect these biblical truths in a practical way that's changing not just how I think about money, but how I think about God, myself, and what's possible when I learn to live from His Kingdom instead of my own.
I'd love to hear which book you start with—I have a feeling it may change your perspective as much as it has changed mine.
Blessings,
Tracie

Identity Before Increase: Why Knowing Who You Are in Christ Matters

Identity Before Increase: Why Knowing Who You Are in Christ Matters
Faith • Identity • Abundance

From Striving to Acceptance

What changes when you stop trying to earn love and start living from the truth of who you are in Christ.
For years, I believed God loved me.
I read it. I felt like I knew it.
But if I'm honest, I lived as though I had to earn His approval. (And the approval of others...)
I tried to do the right things, say the right things, the things that I had determined were necessary, not just to please God, but to be worthy of the blessing and favour that was so evident in the lives of those around me. Of course, I’d screw up on the daily, which fuelled the nagging belief that I wasn't quite enough.
Looking back, I can see that some of those feelings started early in life.
I remember going back-to-school shopping each year. I was grateful for the two new outfits for back to school and was excited to wear them, but when I got to school, some of my friends had a new outfit for every day of the first two weeks!
As a child, I didn't understand finances or family budgets. I unknowingly allowed a thought to take root that they were somehow more valuable than I was.
Of course, that wasn't true. My parents loved me deeply. But the lie took hold.
Moving From Performance to Acceptance
Many of us carry similar beliefs into adulthood.
  • Not enough.
  • Less than.
  • Overlooked.
  • Unworthy.
And if we're not careful, we carry those same beliefs into our relationship with God.
The truth is that Jesus didn't come so we could spend our lives trying to prove ourselves worthy.
He came because we never could.
Jesus made a way for us to be fully accepted, fully loved, and fully welcomed into the family of God. We are seated together with Him!
Our worth is never found in what we've accomplished—it's found in what Christ accomplished!
That's why knowing who you really are matters so much.
When we don't know who we are in Christ, we strive. We compare. We come up short.
But when we begin to take hold of our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God, everything changes!
  • We stop working for acceptance and begin living from acceptance.
  • We stop chasing worth and begin walking in the worth Jesus already secured for us.
  • We grow in the knowledge of God as our loving Father who delights in us!
A Lesson From Wealth With God
This has been one of the most powerful lessons I've learned through Wealth With God.
At its core, the program isn't just about finances.
It's about understanding that our identity is rooted in Him, not in our performance, our income, our achievements, or our circumstances.
A strong foundation of identity prepares us to steward well whatever God places in our hands.
Whether it's influence, opportunities, resources, or finances, we handle them differently when we know who we are.
We stop striving and start trusting.
We stop living from scarcity and begin living from God's abundance.
I'm still growing in this myself.
I'm still uncovering old beliefs that don't align with God's truth.
But I've come to realize that true prosperity begins long before money enters the picture.
It begins with knowing who you are and Who loves you!
Because when you know who you are in Christ, trust grows big time!
And as trust grows, you walk more confidently into the life God has prepared and made ready for you.

Springtime Sniffles: Conquer Seasonal Allergies Naturally

As spring blooms, many of us find ourselves besieged by the all-too-familiar symptoms of seasonal allergies, from sneezing fits and congestion to itchy eyes and fatigue. Rather than mere nuisances, these symptoms could be interpreted as signals from our body, urging us to pay attention and perhaps hinting at underlying issues needing to be addressed. By understanding our body's reactions and making simple yet effective adjustments, we might find relief and even prevent these allergic reactions.

The blog post explored a variety of natural remedies known to alleviate allergy symptoms. From stinging nettle and spirulina to quercetin and probiotics, each offers unique benefits, such as fighting inflammation, stabilizing mast cells to reduce histamine production, and improving gut health. Notably, Young Living's Sulfurzyme was highlighted for its ability to reduce allergic reactions by lessening inflammation and inhibiting allergic response proteins, showcasing the potential of combining traditional remedies with targeted supplements.

In addition to these natural solutions, making lifestyle adjustments plays a crucial role in managing seasonal allergies. Dietary changes, incorporating local honey and bee pollen, supporting liver health, and focusing on gut health can all contribute to a stronger immune system and reduce the likelihood of seasonal allergies. These approaches, alongside powerful essential oils and practical tips like hydration and nasal irrigation, offer a comprehensive strategy for those seeking to enjoy spring without the burden of allergies.
As the seasons change, many of us find ourselves grappling with the unwelcome arrival of seasonal allergies. Symptoms such as sneezing fits, itchy eyes, scratchy throat, and relentless congestion are often our body's way of signaling that something's amiss. Recognizing these signals as a plea for help rather than mere nuisances can be the first step towards minimizing, or even halting, allergy-induced discomfort. By viewing our body's responses as protective mechanisms rather than mistakes, we can start to explore natural solutions and lifestyle adjustments that support our well-being.

Among the arsenal of natural remedies for combating seasonal allergies, certain herbs, supplements, and dietary adjustments stand out. For instance, stinging nettle, with its anti-inflammatory properties, and quercetin, a flavonoid that hinders histamine production, offer herbal relief. Similarly, incorporating probiotics, such as Young Living’s Life 9, can enhance gut health and immune response, potentially reducing allergy symptoms. Additionally, hydration, nasal irrigation, and specifically selected essential oils, including a custom blend of lavender, peppermint, and lemon, can provide immediate and effective symptom relief.

To complement these natural remedies, making conscious lifestyle changes can further alleviate seasonal allergies. Modifications to one's diet, the inclusion of local honey and bee pollen, and supporting liver and gut health are crucial steps. These adjustments not only address allergy symptoms directly but also contribute to an overall healthier immune system, capable of withstanding seasonal triggers. Embracing these strategies equips us to enjoy the changing seasons with enthusiasm rather than apprehension, free from the constraints of allergy-induced discomfort.

Meet Tracie

Hi friend!

My name is Tracie and I am so glad you are here.

One of the greatest desires in my life is to help people discover ways to naturally support their beautiful God given ability to heal, mend, repair and be in balance.

Our bodies communicate with us with whispers; subtle signals like minor aches and pains, hormone imbalances, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, restless sleep, tummy troubles… But ignoring these whispers or masking them with over-the-counter medications does not solve the root problem. It’s like putting duct tape over the check engine light in our car. We might not see the light anymore, but the issue is still there! If we don’t pay attention to these subtle signals, they will get louder and louder until our body forces us to take notice!

Listening to our body's whispers and beginning to ask WHY will put us on the path of discovering what works for US! There are so many beautiful alternatives that support our body's ability to heal and be in balance.

As a passionate advocate for all things natural, including the power of essential oils, I offer support and guidance to those seeking a more holistic approach to health and wellness. Whether you're a momma, a grammie, or anyone in between, this is the place to find practical solutions and inspiration.

Feel free to shoot a message if you'd like to chat!

Together we will embrace the natural goodness that surrounds us and create positive change and become Better Each Day!

Tracie xo
