I'm having a moment...
I made this cute little wooden santa guy years ago... I cut the wood, sanded the edges, painted him layer upon layer, adding details and shading until I was satisfied. I even sanded him down in some areas, several times, to improve things that weren't quite right.

Every year during the Christmas season, I take him out of storage and place him somewhere that I will see him each day. Each year, I find myself taking time to look at him, to really look at him... and it may sound looney, but I feel like I know him... I made him after all.
And while others may only glance his way, I look closely... and I SEE him.
And today, while SEEING him... it hit me...
God made ME...
He sees ME…
He appreciates the little things about me because He put them there.
Others may glance at my Santa guy and say, oh cute... and I'm all like, but LOOK - look at his eyes, look at the shading here and the special detail here... isn't this part beautiful?! Look - I spent extra time on this part...
Just like my creator sees and knows me, I see the details that most won’t. While I enthusiastically say, "look at this" and encourage others to appreciate what my hands have made, I know for sure that the One who lovingly formed me is doing the same. He wishes to show the world the little things that make me special... the little things that are my gifts that only He knows, sees and loves - because He put them there.
For this reason, I muster the boldness to let my freak flags fly - LOL - because an incredibly special someone spent extra time putting that part there so I would share it with ya’ll. :)
He wants to show the world the things that make YOU special too - because He put them there!
Shine brightly my friend!
